So far, in 2016, AgTech investment dropped over 20% from the previous year, according to AgFunder’s 2016 AgTech Mid-Year Investing Report. The mid-year investment total of $1.8 billion puts the sector on track for a year-end total of $3.6 billion, marking a significant drop from 2015 ($4.8 billion), but still up from 2014 ($2.4 billion).
